Zico I used to get those head zaps after I’d taken pills back in my raving days.

Can it be treated with stimulant medication? I kid I knew said his mum used to take amphetamine for it

Re: Sleep apnoea
I kept waking up just as I was falling asleep for ages. It was either a large bang sound or it felt like an electric zap in my head. I used Snorelab to check my snoring and it was quite bad at times so went for a Sleep Apnoea test at the hospital and was diagnosed with Mild Sleep Apnoea but they wouldn't treat it as it wasn't bad enough. The insomnia ensued and eventually I went again to a better sleep clinic and had a sleep test there and it was found normal. I was on sleeping pills for two years and hated the nights I wasn't on them, then one night out of the blue I fell asleep naturally and bizarrely ever since haven't had a problem and came off the pills easily. Very very strange!!

Have to be careful with Sleep Apnoea though as the DVLA are quite hot on it apparently.

Re: Sleep apnoea
When I was just seven years old I snored like pneumatic drill. I stiff breeze would have knocked me over.

Sleep apnoea has nothing to do with weight at all. It's a defect whereby the muscles in your throat relax (collapse) and cause a breathing obstruction.

I have SOSA (Serious Obstructive Sleep Apnoea), and have slept with the CPAP machine since 2011. The first 6 months were difficult, and like others have said, once the effort is made to actually use it, you end up not being able to do without it. It really will change your life.

Serioulsy better quality sleep, more energy, better concentration, etc.

I found I had sleep apnea when my wife told me " I used to watch you not breating and think oh good he is dead" True story, she told me this just before the cunt fucked off with someone else.

Re: Sleep apnoea
I used to snore a lot. It really wound up my missus.

In the summer I picked up a book in Waterstones called The Circadian Code. Best book I’ve ever read. I lost loads of weight very quickly, mostly through going to bed early every night (not just school nights) combined with Time Restricted Eating (I have brekkers at 8 and have no more food after 4pm). I stopped snoring after a few weeks.

If you have a sleep apnoea problem and need to lose weight, I suggest The Circadian Code. I’ve felt better these last 4 months than I have for years.

Re: Sleep apnoea
I have a problem like this most nights just as I’m drifting off to sleep. Didn’t know what it was but after reading this post and googling it this is exactly what happens to me.

Only thing is I’ve got no memory of it happening during the night only as I’m drifting off. It’s really not a very nice experience.

Re: Sleep apnoea
Got a CPAP machine about 3 weeks ago, had 2 nights amazing sleep but have struggled with getting used to it.
The days after the good sleep have been amazing though.
Most days I fall asleep for at least an hour or two.
When i was storm chasing in the U.S i fell asleep whilst talking to my mate.
I don't know how long I've had it, Probably year but it's one of those things that needs to be treated.

Understand that apart from being fat the other risk factors include enlarged tonsils.

So it’s either due to porkiness or having large organs in your throat.
Perhaps you could try giving THAT up
